Schuyler Baab ’70

I have served in a variety of positions here in Washington, DC, culminating service as the Deputy under Secretary at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, in the first Bush administration. I also served in positions in the first and second Reagan administrations, in the Congress, and with the nation’s governors. I ran large portions of President Reagan’s reelection, and that of Vice President Bush. I also worked closely with Bush 43. I am the President and CEO of PATHFINDERS Government Relations, providing strategic advisory and direct representation to clients. I ran part of the Trump Convention operation in Cleveland last summer, continued to work with the campaigns national leadership. We continue to get a majority of our class together regularly, as we have for decades, and will do so this may. I connected with Tim Pearson ’73 (DePauw ’76), who recently along with his twin Tom, gave $100 million to the University of Chicago. Tim was at an event a month ago when I proposed to Fern O’Brian on the roof of the University Club in the shadow of the White House. She said yes!
