Social Engagement

In general, DePauw alumni will describe the DePauw experience not just as an amazing educational opportunity, but as a place that allows for memorable social engagement as well. One only needs to attend one Little Five weekend or the annual Alumni Reunion weekend in June to realize that the DePauw experience encourages social engagement among its students and alumni.

Members of Indiana Alpha participate in almost every social aspect of the campus. Anywhere from varsity sports teams to intramurals, academic programs to Depauwcapella, or major sporting weekends such as the Monon Bell event, Phi Psis take pride in their campus engagement. We also support other campus organizations through attending social, service, and public interest events in order to support our fellow Tigers.

Seasonal chapter-specific events are very common at DePauw and Indiana Alpha is no different. In the fall, Phi Psi hosts one formal, and one informal event. Our traditional Harvest Hop event is a country based theme where Phi Psi’s and their dates enjoy the brisk weather in their overalls and fleeces.  Our event held during the holiday season provides an opportunity for the members and their dates to enjoy a more formal event held in the warm walls of the chapter house. Additionally in the spring, Phi Psi has a formal event which takes place in late April or early May which rotates between major cities in the region.
